chat gpt/codex instead of copilot

the tiles says it all i don't like using the copilot ai for anything but the ability to add ai to vsc is huge I would like to see an option to choose your preferred ai. i understand you probably get an incentive from Microsoft(if not copilot is just inferior ai) but i dont use them by choice and dont want to give them permissions period.

i think they should add claude integration with vs code rather than downloading external extensions . it would be helpful
